Easy Apple Cobbler

Using short cuts such as boxed baking mix and a short list of ingredients makes this recipe quick and easy, and not to mention delicious. Apples can be macintosh, gala, honeycrisp; whatever you have on hand. Pair this recipe with a a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a hot cup of coffee!


What you need:
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
5 cups sliced apples
1 cups boxed baking mix (such as Bisquick)
4 tbsp cold water
another 2 tbsp white sugar

What you do:
1. Combine 3/4 cup white sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, sliced apples in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until apples are almost tender. Put in baking dish.
2. Mix bisquick and 2 tablespoons sugar, then add cold water and stir (mixture will be thick and dough-y). Drop in spoonfuls over apples to cover. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
3. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Enjoy!
